Mr Chike O. Abasiri obtained his first degree from Ogun State University (Now Olabisi Onobanjo University). He later proceeded to Ahmadu Bello University for his Masters in Business Administration. A chartered insurance practitioner, he is also a chartered marketer.
He started his insurance career with Leadway Assurance Company Kaduna in 1992 for the one year compulsory National Youth Service. He worked with AIC Insurance Brokers and Eagle Insurance Brokers between 1993-2001. Between 2001 and 2004
he was the Branch Manager of Guardian Trust Insurance Company in Kano and Jos. He worked with Guardian Express Assurance between 2005-2007.
He was one time the Assistant Secretary and Secretary of NCRIB Kaduna and Northern Region respectively between 1994-2001.
Chike as fondly called by friends was the Regional Manager, North of International Energy Insurance PLC between 2007-2010. He left the industry briefly and returned to UnityKapital Assurance PLC as Marketing Coordinator (MD’s Office) and later pioneer head of Bancassurance Department of the company. When UnityKapital was rebranded to Veritas Kapital Assurance PLC, he became the Team Lead, Institutional and Corporate Market Unit of the company.
A member of IBB Golf Club Abuja, he was one time a resource person at Institute of Marketing of Nigeria, Insurance programme on Radio and Television as well as a lecturer at Imo State University Distance Learning Centres in Kano and Jos.
He has brought his wealth of experience to uplift the operations of the company where he serves as the Chief Operating Officer.
A devoted Christian, he is happily married with children.
